A COUNTY singer is hoping to rise through the pop charts after releasing her debut album through Warner Music.Debbie Clarke OH 1996-2002, from Welsh Newton, has just been to Germany to promote Manhattanhenge a 14-track piece that was the result of her collaboration with producer Tony Visconti.Describing the choice of the name, Debbie, who studied at Hereford Cathedral School, said: “I wanted the album to be lit up, like in Manhattan, and the “henge” is like Stonehenge, so there is a bit of Britishness in it as well. “It has a lot of folk and pop in it and is quite mainstream, but there are also blues and gospel tracks as well.”
