Edward Harris Cup
Friday 03 October 2014
I am pleased to let you know that the Old Herefordians were one of 7 teams who battled it out for the Edward Harris cup. We all congregated at the Cotswold Hills Golf Club, located in a lovely spot above Cheltenham. The weather was fine, the course in good condition and the company excellent. The 4 pairs representing Old Herefordians were:Clive Hallett & Ray HarrisJeremy Clare & Des WhetterPeter & Stephen WilliamsRoger & Steve Morgan (ringer)After submitting 3 scores totalling 122 points off 7/8 handicap, the OH team were quietly composing their gracious victory speech when we discovered that the winning score was 131 by Old Cheltonians (albeit with 4 Cotswold Hill members in their team!). We all resolved to improve our golf game whilst increasing our handicaps in preparation for next year’s tilt at the title………………….Roger Morgan
